Full-Time Sr. Multi-Media Journalist, Bell Media

Responsibilities

  • Sports Photojournalist for TSN
  • Prepare, set up, carry, and operate portable electronic camera and recording unit, complete with lighting and audio for field reports
  • Liaise with TSN production and Control rooms for Live hits
  • Required to carry and operate Dejero equipment
  • Required to edit in a linear and non-linear environment
  • Consults with Reporters, Producers, Assignment Deks personnel to provide creative input to the production of items
  • Required shift work, evening hours and travel as regularly assigned
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with the operation of ENG camera is essential
  • Understanding of Canadian and International Sports Landscape
  • Demonstrate knowledge of microphones, RF equipment, Lighting techniques and peripheral equipment such as GoPros
  • Excellent concentration and coordination skills
  • Ability to deal with new and developing technology
  • Strong people skills
  • Proven Linear & Non-Linear Edit skills
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record: G Driver’s License
  • Minimum of 3 years broadcasting ENG experience
  • College level television diploma, equivalent education, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of English and French is an asset

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
